Judging of Wines

Some small flights of wines were judged on February 28. The judging of the more popular varietal classes occurs this morning at Cavallotti Lodge. You are welcome to drop by and see what happens. Chief Steward Don Graham has lined up a full panel of Guild Judges for the event, many of whom are coming from out of town. Club members have volunteered as stewards.

Banquet Schedule and Events

6:00 p.m. Doors open for wine tasting and inspection of auction items

This year will revert to the older practice of having an “open tasting” of medal wines before dinner. There will be no “people’s choice” tasting at the tables, but the head banquet steward will ensure that each table will receive at least one silver medal wine to accompany dinner. There will be plenty of medal wines to sample.

7:00 p.m. Dinner Begins

Dinner begins with bread and salads delivered to tables. Tables will be called for the serving of dinner beginning at 7:30.

Silent Auction and Awards

There will be the usual silent auction of items donated by community businesses and Club members. This always adds a bit of fun to the evening, as well as the opportunity to pick up some bargains. The auction will proceed in stages beginning near the end of dinner.
